Planet Horse are this year sponsoring the Large Breeds Ridden Mountain and Moorland class at the Equestrian Life Championships 2010 to be held at Arena Uk on Sunday 12th September 2010. Qualifying rounds for all amateur riders are to be held at a number of Riding Clubs accross the East Midlands and Yorkshire.

  Our Dun Connemara Pony 'Farndale Riversong' qualifies for Pony of the Year Show 2010 in hand led by Katie Offiler.

Another Successful day!   The entries in the horse classes were very large, and the sun shone all afternoon.

Blackwell Jackpot won a very large Ridden Family Horse class, and went into the Championship with the first and second prize winners from 6 other classes including Veteran and Retired Racehorse, to finish overall RESERVE CHAMPION with rider Holly Papper.

Our New Forest Pony, Blackwell Jackpot, ridden by 17 year old Holly Papper achieved a credible 2nd place in the M&M Working Hunter Exc 138cm Championship at the NCPA Pony of the Year 2009 show, Cheshire.

Jackpot, a ten year old, dapple grey New Forest was forest bred by Jenny Tillyer, Hampshire.  He was given his name after having scooped all the 1st prizes, as a foal with his silver graded Mother, 'Crystal Sunset', at the New Forest Breed show.

Having been brought on slowly, he is now achieving consistent results in all disciplines in good company.  He was also placed 4th at Cheshire in the Large Breeds In Hand Championship class led by our daughter, katie Offiler, and 8th in a very strong Large Breeds ridden class.

Our Connemara pony, 'Farndale Riversong', a very cheeky dun gelding by Garryhinch Prince, also qualified for the Novice ridden Championship with Holly, and finished in 8th place.  He has qualified at Bakewell for next years show, in hand, and we are hoping to introduce him to novice workers too.
